1% for the Planet

1% for the Planet is a worldwide movement led by companies that have decided to donate 1% of their turnover to environmental protection associations. More than 2,500 companies are members of this movement.

As the pledge is based on turnover and not on net profit, companies must honour their commitment even if their annual results are poor.

Cumulative donations since the movement's inception have reached over $220 million.

The reason for choosing the 1% amount is that US companies can benefit from tax advantages at this level.
